A community-focused nonprofit enriching the lives of Buffalo youth through sports, mentorship, and belonging.

“To enrich the lives of children in the city of Buffalo by building a supportive community through sports—providing mentorship, resources, and an environment for self-expression and personal growth.”
August Finn
Founder & Program Director
The Buffalo Sports Project is a community-focused nonprofit dedicated to building a supportive environment where sports provide self-expression, resources, and opportunity for Buffalo's youth who need them most.
We believe every child deserves access to sports regardless of their financial situation. Through free and low-cost programs, mentorship, and a welcoming community, we're creating pathways for young people to grow both on and off the field.
Our flagship initiative, The Buffalo Academy of Soccer, brings together partner clubs from across the city to offer year-round training, cultural exchange, and a true collage of soccer experiences for players of all backgrounds.

Your support helps us provide quality programming for Buffalo youth. Here is what we need:
Money to pay coaches and tutors — it is important to the quality of our programming that we have the best coaches available.
Soccer goals, soccer balls, pinnies, and cones for our training sessions.
Jerseys for players to wear during Academy sessions and scrimmages.
Secure indoor practice space for year-round programming during Buffalo winters.
Our team is comprised of former Professional and Collegiate soccer players and coaches, all with ties to Buffalo, wanting to give back to the game of soccer as well as improve the City of Buffalo as a whole.
